The capacities that are passed to GetYourGuide (GYG) are based on two different processes:
1. Up to 10 days before the trip: In this period, only the lower value entered in the channel manager is used for the capacities. This means that regardless of the actual availability on site, the value entered in the channel manager is decisive.
2. Within the last 10 days before the journey: From this point onwards, an additional check is made to see whether there are actually still seats available for the journey. In addition to the value from the channel manager, the actual availability of the seats is also taken into account to ensure that no overbooking takes place.
In summary, this means that in the last 10 days before a journey, a more detailed check of the available capacity is carried out, whereas previously the channel manager alone was decisive.
